A message from the CMCA Chairman

CMCA Westcoast Rally 2019

Congratulations on a Successful WA State Rally

On behalf of the Board and Management of the CMCA, I would like to congratulate Bevin and Margaret and all the volunteers who assisted with the organisation of the recent WA State Rally at Dumbleyung.

It was a most successful and enjoyable Rally and I believe all Members attending participated in many of the activities.

The Shire of Dumbleyung and the people of Dumbleyung made us very welcome. The town has a population of some 260 people, so adding the 180 CMCA Members for the 5 days was a substantial influx to the activities happening around the event, the Tastes of Dumbleyung. And what about our bus driver, Gary, who really looked after us for the whole time. He really was a great example of a person with real pride in his home town.

The 21 school children who performed the early but very emotional ANZAC Day Ceremony for us was very memorable.

Cathy and I enjoyed meeting many Members and thank you all for your kind hospitality. We had lots of fun and as I said in my invitation, ‘it has been a long time between drinks in Dumbleyung’. I think I might have made up for it.
